Thai Tea

  • 6 Black Tea Bags
  • 2 1/2 cups Water
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract (optional)
  • 2 pieces Star Anise
  • 1 tablespoons Whole Cardamom
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 1/4 piece Vanilla Bean
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Turmeric
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar (coconut palm sugar recommended)

Sweetened Milk

  • 1/4 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Evaporated Milk or whole milk

Instructions

  1. Thai Tea – Place all Thai Tea ingredients in a pot, simmer for 3-5 minutes, strain, and pour over ice.
  2. Sweetened Milk – Whisk condensed milk and evaporated milk until smooth, then pour over the iced tea. Garnish with mint leaves.

Notes

  • Add plenty of sugar for authentic sweetness.
