Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon clear vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or plain greek yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup sprinkles

Glaze:

  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 34 tablespoons milk
  • more sprinkles for topping, if desired

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F and spray a donut pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Combine wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk the egg, vanilla, sugar, sour cream, melted butter, and oil. Stir in the dry ingredients.
  4. Add sprinkles: Gently fold in the sprinkles.
  5. Fill donut pan: Transfer batter to a piping bag and pipe into the donut pan.
  6. Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Glaze: Mix powdered sugar and milk, then drizzle over cooled donuts and add more sprinkles.

Notes

  • You can make 12 donuts by filling cavities less full with a bake time of 10-12 minutes.
