This Easy Sage Butter Sauce is a simple yet flavorful addition to pasta, meat, chicken, or fish. The nutty aroma of browned butter combined with fresh sage creates a delectable finishing touch for your dishes.

Ingredients

6 tbsp Butter (unsalted), cut into pieces

4 tbsp Fresh Sage (or 4 tsp Dried Sage)

Salt

Pepper

1 clove Garlic, minced (optional)

Instructions

  1. Clean and chop the sage leaves: Rinse the sage leaves and remove from stems. Chop finely.
  2. Melt the butter in a pan: Melt butter in a pan until light brown, about 3-5 mins.
  3. Add the sage to the pan: Stir in sage for 2-4 mins. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic if desired.
  4. Serve immediately: Adjust seasonings and serve over your favorite dishes.

Notes

  • To use dried herbs, substitute 1 tsp dried sage for every tbsp of fresh sage.
