Description

These crispy, flavorful Air Fryer Chicken Meatballs with Parmesan are a quick and easy protein-packed snack or main dish. Juicy on the inside with a crunchy exterior, they are perfect served with marinara sauce or over pasta for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Meatball Mixture

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 3 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp parsley (dried) or 2 tbsp fresh

Instructions

  1. Mix the ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, egg, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, olive oil, and parsley. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  2. Form the meatballs: Take a heaping tablespoon of the mixture and shape it into a ball. Repeat with the remaining mixture, placing about 24 meatballs on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Preheat the air fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). If desired, line the air fryer basket with foil or spray with cooking oil to prevent sticking.
  4. Cook the meatballs: Place the meatballs in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching. Air fry for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until browned and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
  5. Serve: Remove the cooked meatballs and repeat with remaining batch. Once all are cooked, optionally warm all meatballs together for a few minutes in the air fryer. Serve hot with marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave for best results.
  • Freeze cooked or uncooked meatballs on a parchment-lined tray, then transfer to a ziplock bag. Freeze for up to 3 months.
  • To cook from frozen, air fry for approximately 12 minutes until thoroughly cooked.
