Sugar Syrup:
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup filtered water, cold
Lemon Juice:
- 1 1/2 cups lemon juice (from 8 medium or 6 large lemons)
Instructions
- Prepare Sugar Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup water with 1 1/2 cups sugar. Heat over medium heat until just simmering, stirring to dissolve sugar. Remove from heat, cool to room temperature, and refrigerate.
- Squeeze Lemon Juice: Use a citrus juicer to extract 1 1/2 cups lemon juice. Refrigerate until ready to use.
- Make Lemonade: In a pitcher, combine 7 cups cold water, 1 1/2 cups lemon juice, and 1 1/2 cups chilled sugar syrup. Stir well. Adjust sweetness to taste. Serve over ice.
