Description
A simple and healthy recipe for perfectly cooked air fryer chicken breasts, seasoned with a blend of oregano, paprika, garlic powder, and kosher salt, creating juicy and flavorful chicken in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
Chicken
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Seasoning Paste
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (increase to 1 teaspoon if using Diamond Kosher Salt)
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Prepare the seasoning paste: In a small bowl, combine the kosher salt, oregano, paprika, black pepper, garlic powder, and olive oil. Mix well to form a uniform paste.
- Coat the chicken: Rub the seasoning paste evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts, ensuring they are fully coated for maximum flavor.
- Preheat and cook in air fryer: Place the coated chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook at 370°F (188°C) for 10 minutes.
- Flip and continue cooking: Flip the chicken breasts over and cook for an additional 4 to 8 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) to ensure they are properly cooked but still juicy.
- Rest the chicken: Remove the chicken breasts from the air fryer and tent loosely with aluminum foil. Let them rest for 5 minutes to allow juices to redistribute before serving.
Notes
- If using Diamond Kosher Salt, increase the amount of salt to 1 teaspoon as it contains 50% less sodium than other kosher salt brands.
