Salmon Bites
- 12oz / 340g salmon fillets, skin removed and cut into 1 inch (2.5 cm) cubes
Marinade
- 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 1 garlic clove, grated
- Small cube fresh ginger, grated
Garnish
- Sesame seeds
- Green onions, sliced
- Spicy mayo or sriracha aioli (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the salmon: Remove the skin and any bones from the salmon fillets. Slice the salmon into large cubes approximately 1 inch (2.5 cm) in size for even cooking.
- Make the marinade: In a container, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil, and freshly grated garlic and ginger. Mix well to create a balanced marinade with sweet and savory flavors.
- Marinate the salmon: Add the salmon cubes into the marinade and stir gently to coat all pieces evenly. Let the salmon marinate for at least 10 minutes; if possible, refrigerate for a few hours to deepen the flavor.
- Preheat the air fryer: Set your air fryer to 390℉ (200℃) and allow it to preheat. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Air fry the salmon: Arrange the marinated salmon cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching. Air fry for 5-8 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time. Brush leftover marinade over the salmon when flipped to enhance flavor and moisture.
- Serve and garnish: Once cooked to your desired doneness, transfer the salmon bites to a serving dish. Garnish with sesame seeds, sliced green onions, and a drizzle of spicy mayo or sriracha aioli. Enjoy with a side of rice and vegetables or as part of a salmon bowl.

- Adjust air frying time based on the size of the salmon cubes and preferred doneness.
