Pistachio Mixture
- 240g pistachio kernels
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp ground cardamom
- Pinch of salt
Chocolate Coating
- 50g dark chocolate, melted
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C fan)/350°F to get it ready for baking the pistachio bars.
- Mix Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the pistachio kernels, ground cardamom, pinch of salt, and maple syrup. Stir thoroughly until the pistachios are evenly coated with the syrup and spices.
- Shape Bars: Transfer the mixture into moulds or a loaf tin lined with baking paper, pressing down gently to create a compact layer for uniform bars.
- Bake: Bake the mixture in the preheated oven for 15-17 minutes until the pistachios are toasted and the bars are firm. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely in the moulds.
- Remove and Slice: Once cooled, carefully remove the set pistachio slab from the mould or tin. Slice into bars of desired size.
- Chocolate Finish: Dip the base of each bar into the melted dark chocolate. Optionally, drizzle remaining chocolate on top for extra indulgence. Let the chocolate set before serving.
